Bio
I’m a singer/songwriter/musician living outside Boston, Massachusetts. I wrote my first pop song at 15 and have played professionally in several bands throughout the 70’s and, as that decade ended, I got married, started a family and chose to focus more on songwriting & recording. I’ve been a multi-instrumentalist since I was in my mid-teens and play guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. I enjoy playing with other musicians and will often ask them to come have some fun in my studio and lend their expertise on my recordings.
Being a 70’s kid, my music influences have been the Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Deep Purple, Dan Fogelberg, Carly Simon and ELO. In the spring of 2017 I decided to fulfill a dream – so my drummer son, Matt, and I headed off to London to record a couple of songs at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. A definitive moment for any Beatles fan! I write steadily and spend most of my spare time writing and recording in my home studio – and buying more gear!
When asked to describe my music, I prefer to leave it up to the listener and let them decide. I don’t really focus on any specific topic or theme but prefer to write about a variety of things such as love (the obvious!), hope, new adventures, solitude, personal loss, and of course, peace! The genre, though, is definitely pop/rock.
